Starting the Work
This week I researched areas surrounding my thesis which lead me to better ideas. I used word associations, mind mapping and visuals related to my topic which helped me come up with several keywords. I narrowed it down to these three keywords because they relate to my topic, goal and audience. The first word I chose was mixed because it means combining two or more things together which symbolizes all Asian cultures cultivating their identities through building community. The second word I chose was connected. Connected means to bring together. By connecting Asian cultures together allows each of them to relate and learn experiences from others by sharing their personal story. The third word I chose was blended. Blended means to combine together. By combining together it creates identity through community allowing Asian Americans to have a voice.
Since this is my second time taking this class due to a car accident, the word I chose last semester was blended. I will posting in the next module my visual system one sheet and some of my deliverables that I have started designing. Last semester was hard to get peer critiques due to the limited amount of students. I'm looking forward to expanding on the brand that I have already developed. I look forward to getting feedback from each of you throughout the semester.
