Ideating
This week I updated the user journey map by creating a computer rough to visually show my persona better. Next week I will add examples of type, layout and design to my moodboards. For my visual system I decided to work on the name more. The names I had chosen previously were still not working well for my project. Even though I had some ideas from last week, I continued researching Asian American groups and designs.
With everyone saying Asian Fusion sounds like food I still explored this to see if I could make it less food related. I shared this name and some logo ideas with a few students who were my target audience and they all mentioned it reminded them of food. After exploring many options this week for this name I came to the conclusion that it will not work for my project. I continued combining words together for a double meaning. I tried putting "Asian and Euphoria" together but shortened euphoria to Foria. I came up with Asian Foria. I explored this idea more and created computer roughs. I added a tagline to play with. I created a symbol that represents the A and F. The style is suppose to resemble a Kanji symbol. The symbol in the square that represents a Japanese woodblock stamp. For the name PersuAsian I played around with colors. This idea needs more exploration and development.
For next week I will explore these next ideas by creating computer roughs. I researched and played around by combining "Frustration and Asian" together and came up with FrustrAsians. I wanted to experiment by infusing the two words together for a unique name. Then I tried combining "Situation and Asian" and came up with SituAsian, In a SituAsianship and SituAsianships. Any thoughts on the new names I want to explore more? Any feedback is welcomed.
