Brainstorming
This week I met with two research participants in person to go over the user flow chart. Two participants couldn't make it. They first viewed my journey map and then the user flow chart. Then we discussed their thoughts and feelings about it. Then they used different color post-it notes and moved around what was there, deleted extras and added new developments they saw would help with the flow to make the users experience easier and better. The post-it notes really did help. It was easy to move things around, take away or add. Observing and asking questions really helped me understand how the user wants an app to flow. Getting actual feedback from my target audience was a reality check. I got useful suggestions and lots of information from each participant.
For my final logo, I'm still torn between two. I decided to finalize both logos. I created each logo in black & white and 1 color. One logo is more traditional while the other is modern. Next week I will decide on which logo. For the brand elements and patterns, I decided to take Intan's suggestion and explore different Asian patterns and elements. I created a few but will create more so they represent each area of Asia. Ran also suggested exploring other areas of Asia to add throughout my project. I started exploring Eastern Asia, Southeast Asia, Southern Asia, Central Asia and Western Asia. I will continue researching each next week. As for which colors to go with I'm still exploring. I will finalize the colors next week.
